Aim: In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the sustainability characteristics of local architecture in terms of energy efficiency criteria by examining the architectural features of the Dervish Lodge (Tekke) buildings in the Harabâti Baba Dervish Lodge (Tekke) example. Method: In the study, the selected building group was researched with on-site inspection and measurements, and in accordance with the data obtained, each structure was analyzed in tables according to the energy efficiency criteria. Results: In the study, dominant wind direction, building geometry, material selection, natural lighting and ventilation characteristics criteria of energy efficiency were evaluated. As a result, Harabati Baba Dervish Lodge is a structure that continues its existence through the measures taken against the dominant wind effect, which is the most important climatic data based on its location, high wall storage facilities that prevents heat loss and using natural lighting and ventilation that eliminates additional energy consumption. Conclusion: In the light of scientific data, making such studies in the buildings that have survived from past to present is of great importance both for contributing to energy efficiency which is one of the important approaches of the present and for the continuity of our cultural heritage.
