CLOTHING FASHION IN TURKISH CINEMA

Cinema and fashion have been mutually affecting each other since early times. Depending on the developments in the field of technology, cinema which has become the most important branch of art particularly in today’s world not only appeals to visual tastes, but also takes psychological effects on people and changes their lifestyles. Evaluated in this regard, it is observed that the most intense relation of cinema is with fashion. Cinema is the branch of art blending with public’s expectations, desires and interests and having the power to affect the cultural life. Most people identify themselves with the stars they watch on cinema, and they shape their lifestyles according to these stars. Fashion steps in as an important dimension of this identification. With reference to the thought that the examination of the interaction of cinema with fashion will be important when fashion and its power to affect masses are considered, clothing fashion in Turkish cinema has been analyzed in this study.

Geçmişten beri sinema ve moda birbirini etkilemektedir. Teknoloji alanında yaşanan gelişmelere bağlı olarak özellikle günümüz dünyasının en önemli sanat dalı haline gelen sinema yalnızca görsel zevklere hitap etmemekte aynı zamanda insanlar üzerinde psikolojik etkiler de göstererek onların yaşam tarzlarının değişmesini sağlamaktadır. Bu açıdan değerlendirildiğinde sinemanın en yoğun şekilde modayla ilişki içerisinde olduğu görülmektedir. Sinema halkın ihtiyaçları, beklentiler, arzu ve çıkarlarıyla birleşen kültürel yaşamı etkileme gücüne sahip olan bir sanat dalıdır. İnsanlar büyük kısmı beyazperdede izledikleri starlarla kendilerini özdeşleştirmekte ve yaşam stillerini bu starlara göre şekillendirmektedirler. Bu özdeşleşmenin önemli bir boyutu olarak moda devreye girmektedir. Moda ve kitleleri etkileme gücü göz önünde bulundurulduğunda sinemanın moda ile etkileşiminin incelenmesinin önem arz edeceği düşüncesinde hareketle bu çalışmada Türk sinemasında giysi modası incelenmiştir.
